Tomato Sauce Goodness

The best tomato sauce starts with San Marzano tomatoes. Don't bother using anything else. This sauce is super easy to make, make extra and freeze the rest for later!


  • 2 Tablespoon olive oil

  • ½ Cup diced yellow onion

  • ½ Cup diced bell peppers

  • 5 Cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 Cans San Marzano Tomatos

  • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste

  • Few dashes of dried Oregano

  • Few Basil leaves

  • Dash of Red pepper flakes

  • salt and pepper


  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and add onion, and pepper - cook for about 5 minutes

  2. Crush up the tomatoes by hand or use a blender

  3. Add garlic and cook another 45 seconds then stir together

  4. Add tomatoes, Oregano, Basil, and red pepper flakes, then stir and simmer

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste
