Oktoberfest Beer Brats

Who doesn't love cooking with alcohol? I know I do. This is a fall special of mine super easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Brats

  • 1 can or bottle of beer (For this I'm using an Oktoberfest beer)

  • ½ cup beef broth

  • 1 sliced onion

  • Dash of sugar

  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat and add onion cook for about 5 minutes

  2. Add a few dashes of beer to onions and a dash or two of white sugar

  3. Heat grill over medium-high heat, add sausages until you have nice grill marks, flip and repeat

  4. Place a saucepan or pot (large enough to hold the sausages), over low-medium heat, and add beer and beef broth

  5. Once sausages have nice grill marks, transfer to beer and beef broth mixture, and simmer (Do not boil)

  6. Cook sausage until it reaches an internal temp of 145 degrees about 5-10 minutes.
