Grilled Bourbon Chicken

  • 2 Pounds chicken thighs (Breasts can be used, but less flavor)

  • 1 Cup any BBQ sauce

  • 1/2 Cup soy sauce

  • 1/3 Cup bourbon

  • 3 Tablespoons dark brown sugar

  • 2 Garlic cloves

  • 1 Tablespoons sriracha

  • 1 Tablespoons yellow mustard

  • Green onion

  • Salt and pepper

  • Avocado oil


  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl, mix well, then set aside

  • Optional (Cut chicken thighs into 1" pieces, skewer then lightly baste with sauce)

  • Place whole thighs or skewers on the grill, turn over after 3 minutes

  • Baste and flip until chicken is cooked (Be careful to not overcook)

  • Take off the grill and baste one more time as they rest
